Baby Steps

So this picture has been going around Facebook

Yes, it made me laugh! Yes, I can relate to it a little. We've all got to start somewhere.

So let's say this is you. Pretty much your day at the moment. Let's ask ourselves some questions..

1. How good is this making me feel about myself? (With 10 being god/goddess, 1 being fairly pants)

2. When I first see humans socially after lock down, how would I like to look?

3. Do I have more time than normal to plan and prepare food, do exercise AND watch extra Netflix?

We need to be realistic. But we need a plan. Without a plan, the above cycle could progress to you sat in a corner with a bottle of wine/vodka, 3 stone heavier and feeling pretty rubbish.

So how about that? Don't panic. When I say exercise it could be anything. Maybe 10 sit ups. Maybe power walk the dog round the block. Maybe a dance around the room while the kettle boils. Its getting that habit in of getting up and moving!

I left your food in. I left your wine in. I even left in your optional crying (some of the Netflix series I'm watching mean this is pretty standard).

Just make sure it's in your control. On your terms. You planned the bit of cheese on your omelette. You planned the large mid afternoon glass of wine in the garden. You planned a large stir fry dinner, to be zero effort, ultra filling. You even planned the glass of wine for pudding.

Baby steps.
